Halena produces both large stage shows and intimate floor shows in Vancouver BC. Some highlights include:
History Uncovered: A Time-Traveling Burlesque Bash was first held in March 2023 at the Beaumont Studios in Vancouver BC.
This show reinterpreted and gave new life to historical figures and stories, through burlesque, and has since become an annual tradition in the Vancouver Burlesque community.
Cringe & Fringe began as a silly one-off idea in 2024 to ask performers to do acts to overplayed, annoying, or just plain cringy music.
It turned into an incredibly popular and highly anticipated show, and has become another annual tradition — and even inspired similar shows in other cities.
Night Out For Palestine: Latin Dance Night, held in August 2025, was a labour of love. I co-produced this show bringing together performers from the Latin Dance community to showcase their incredible talents, followed by a salsa class and social dancing. I co-hosted the show alongside Kristal Wei from Baza Dance Studios, and we raised over $1,400 for The Sameer Project and the Legal Centre for Palestine.
“Justice Laid Bare: A Burlesque Fundraiser for Reproductive Rights” raised over $6,500 for the Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada and the National Network of Abortion Funds (USA).
I co-produced this show, held in August 2022, with Gia Sangria, and it featured diverse performers showing up for bodily autonomy and the right to choose.
I choreographed my first mini-production, LUXE, in April 2019. I created seven pieces performed by an interweaving cast of seven dancers, including myself, and involved solos, group numbers, and partner work performing in jazz and cabaret heels styles.
Teaching & Choreography
10+ years experience teaching heels, burlesque, ballet, jazz, and tap to ages ranging from 3 to adult.
#HeelsWithHalena: classes focusing on translating dance technique for burlesque, sensual heels dance, cabaret and lyrical movement, and floorwork, 2018-present.
Have taught in Vancouver, Whitehorse, Calgary, Burnaby, and Regina.
Available to teach classes or workshops.
