“History Uncovered: A Time-Traveling Burlesque Bash was held in March 2023 at the Beaumont Studios in Vancouver BC. This show reinterpreted and gave new life to historical figures and stories, through burlesque.
“Nectar: A Night of Sticky Sweet & Immersive Dance and Burlesque” was held in September 2022 at the Beaumont Studios in Vancouver BC. This show featured eleven dance and burlesque artists in an intimate venue.
“Justice Laid Bare: A Burlesque Fundraiser for Reproductive Rights” raised over $6,500 for the Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada and the National Network of Abortion Funds (USA). I co-produced this show, held in August 2022 in Vancouver BC, with Gia Sangria, and it featured diverse performers showing up for bodily autonomy and the right to choose.
I choreographed my first mini-production, LUXE, in April 2019. I created seven pieces performed by an interweaving cast of seven dancers, including myself, and involved solos, group numbers, and partner work performing in jazz and cabaret heels styles.
10+ years experience teaching heels, ballet, jazz, and tap to ages ranging from 3 to adult.
#HeelsWithHalena: classes focusing on sensual heels technique, cabaret and lyrical movement, and floorwork, 2018-present.
Have taught in Vancouver, Burnaby, and Regina.
Available to teach classes or workshops in lyrical heels, cabaret heels, and heels foundations.
